The Government of Andhra Pradesh, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has unveiled the Maritime Logistics Vision 2047, a forward-looking blueprint to transform the state into a world-class logistics and shipping hub by 2047.

This ambitious plan focuses on port-led development, multimodal connectivity, and the integration of smart technologies to boost economic growth, generate employment, and establish Andhra Pradesh as a critical player in global trade.


Key Highlights of Maritime Logistics Vision 2047

  1. Port Every 50 KM
    • Andhra Pradesh boasts a 1,053 km-long coastline—the second-longest in India.
    • The vision proposes a port every 50 km, ensuring better connectivity, faster cargo movement, and balanced coastal development.
  2. Multimodal Transport Integration
    • Seamless connectivity through roads, railways, waterways, and air cargo terminals.
    • Proposed expansion of inland waterways like Buckingham Canal for eco-friendly transport.
  3. Technology & Green Initiatives
